Built on our true guiding principles and values

Every book teaches one principle. Pick the one your story is about, and our characters, each with their own personality built on these principles, help it shine through without a lecture.

How it works

  1. Pick the principle and who will read it: little kids, kids or big kids.
  2. Make it one page at a time. On each page, pick a cartoon character and type what happens. Our AI helps say it in that character's way of talking, and the page speaks in the character's real voice.
  3. Turn the pages into a story. Put them in order yourself, or let our cartoon writing algorithm suggest an order, a title, the back-cover words, talk-about-it questions and words to know.
  4. Keep your talking e-book. The characters read it aloud while every word lights up. Share the link with family, friends or your congregation.
  5. We publish the paperback on Amazon for you and handle the printing setup, the listing and the bookkeeping. You get 80% of the royalties.

What it costs

$10 for 25 pages

Includes the real character voices, the AI help, the story tries, your talking e-book and a Kindle-compatible copy, and publishing on Amazon. Every 25 more pages is another $10. You pay with tokens from your membership account ($1 a year, 18+). Grown-up author books are for adults only, so before your first one you do a quick, free ID check (a photo of your ID and a selfie on our verification provider's secure page). We never see or keep your ID. All sales are final.

โ›ช Cartoon faith stories

Grown-up books can be faith-based. Write your family's story, a lesson your faith taught you, or a parable you want your kids to remember, from any religion, and build it on one of our true principles: love, charity, forgiveness, gratitude, humility. Our cartoon characters tell it in their own voices. Think of Grandpa's story of how the church fed the family one winter, told as a lesson in gratitude.

Faith stories are for families and congregations, not schools: books made here by grown-ups never go on a school's shelf. Every faith is treated with respect. Books never put down another religion or people with none, and out of respect, our characters tell the stories about God and the prophets rather than speaking as them.

The book rules

These are children's books, so every page stays clean and kind: no violence, scary stuff, swearing, put-downs, politics or real people (beyond the faith figures in your story). See the Terms.

Questions

Can a grown-up make a children's book, or is it only for kids?

Anybody of any age can make one. Kids can make their own too, with a grown-up starting the book.

Does the AI write the book for me?

No. You bring the idea for every page. The AI helps say it in the character's own voice and helps put the pages in order, and nothing changes without your OK.

Can I make a faith-based or Bible story book?

Yes. Grown-up books can be cartoon faith stories from any religion: your family's faith story, a parable, or a lesson from scripture, built on a true principle like love or charity and told with respect for everyone. Faith books are for families and churches and never go into schools.

Why do I need an ID check?

Grown-up author books can tell faith stories and stay out of schools, so they're only for adults 18 and older. A quick photo ID and selfie on our verification provider's secure page proves it. It's free, takes about two minutes, and we only learn that you're 18 or older.

Whose name goes on the cover?

Yours, or a pen name. If a kid is the author, we only use a first name and last initial (or a pen name) and a cartoon avatar, never a child's photo.

Can I sell the book myself?

We publish it on Amazon for you, and you get 80% of the royalties every three months. You can share your e-book freely, but not sell it yourself.
